Our campaigns

Learn more about our current campaigns and join us in demanding a fair deal for farmers and workers.

Fairtrade Australia works hard to spread the word that trade often isn’t fair. We campaign to raise awareness of the needs of producers in developing countries, share the good reasons to buy Fairtrade products and to persuade policymakers to change the fundamentally unfair trade system.

Here you can find out about some of the big issues we are campaigning on and how you can get involved.

Other ways to get involved

Whether you are new to Fairtrade or are looking to get more involved, there are exciting and creative ways to inform your friends, family and community about Fairtrade and trade justice

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • organise a Fairtrade morning tea or bake sale
  • host a coffee cupping course (contact a local Fairtrade coffee roaster to find out more)
  • Have your own great awareness raising idea and looking for some financial  support to get it off the ground? You may be eligible for the Fairtrade Innovation Fund. Check it out here

    Fairtrade Fortnight: 3rd - 16th August 2018

Fairtrade Fortnight is about people coming together to support farmers and workers around the world. It’s your chance to stand up for what you believe in - whether that’s protecting the environment, gender equality, or ensuring farmers and workers are paid fairly. It used to be that you had to strike, chant, march or chain yourself to a tree to stand up for what you believe in. Now you can simply do it with your purchase!
