Fairtrade Australia & New Zealand (Fairtrade ANZ) held its Board meeting with senior management on the 19th and 20th of April 2012 in Auckland. The meeting was successful in its approach to discussing proactive strategic plans. Fairtrade ANZ CEO, Stephen Knapp, presented his report to the Board including an update on activities in finance, operations management, certification and Producer Support & Relations (PSR). The Management team presented to the Board the Draft five year strategy and plans for the 2012/13 financial year.
A report from the Finance & Audit Committee was presented and both the Board Charter document and the Risk Policy & Register were approved. The Committee presented a draft budget for 2012-2013.

The Board was delighted to announce the appointment of Valentina Tripp from KPMG as the newest member of the Fairtrade ANZ Board which also welcomed and accepted the application from St. James Ethics Centre to become a Fairtrade member.
The Producer Support Committee held its inaugural meeting on the 20th April 2012.
Earlier in the day the Board took time to share a breakfast with the New Zealand team at the Auckland office, allowing new staff members to mix and mingle with Board members.
